Welcome to Prospect School
Message from the Principal
On behalf of the Prospect Staff, I would like to welcome you to the new school year! I am very excited to work with all of our students, staff, and parents.
The staff and I strive to inspire all students to achieve to their greatest potential. We want each child to become a lifelong learner, critical problem solver, effective communicator, and self-directed learner.
Our school is a vibrant place to learn, where students are nurtured and our staff maintains high expectations for learning the academic, social, and emotional skills needed in today’s world to be successful. Our students are asked to follow three rules at Prospect School: Be Safe, Responsible and Respectful. This allows us to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Prospect parents are involved in our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). This group coordinates efforts to support the work of our school. Thanks to funding provided by the PTO, students are able to enjoy assemblies and special programs throughout the year. Additionally, the PTO provides financial assistance for classroom libraries, technology, and classroom supports. Along with financial support, the PTO coordinates volunteer opportunities for many varied school events. Please visit the Prospect PTO website for additional information.
Communication to families and the community is important to us at Prospect and in District 181. "The Prospectus" is a weekly newsletter that is sent out on Sundays via email. This newsletter gives valuable information to parents about upcoming events and includes important updates. The District also sends out regular communication with important District-wide information. Click here to learn more. Also, teachers post information on their grade level/individual websites that helps parents to know what is occurring in the classroom.
I am proud to be the leader of a school community that is united in our goal of providing the best education possible for each and every student. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information about Prospect School.
