Preschool Registration
for the 2019-2020 School Year

Participants must reside within District boundaries. All families will need to provide proof of residency at the time of registration. A list of acceptable documents can be found on the Student Residency Form below.

Parents should bring the official certified birth certificate for the child, proof of residency, and the registration fee ($100.00) to the District Office. The hours of registration are 8:30 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. The birth certificate and residency documents will be copied and returned.

Important Note

For enrollment in 2019-20, children must be three years old by September 1, 2019, potty trained, and have a health exam completed prior to the start of the year.

Registration Fee

The registration fee of $100.00 (non-refundable) is due at the time of registration.


Tuition for 2019-20 is $1600 due by September 15, 2019 and $1600 due by January 6, 2020. A 10% discount is applied for tuition paid in full for the year by September 15, 2019.

Reduced Tuition

Reduced tuition is offered for families who qualify.

Residency Verification/Health Requirements

To show residency within the District, the person with whom the student lives in the District and who claims custody of the student must present documents as described below. If the person enrolling the student claims the student is homeless or attending school in the student’s former district upon the determination of the Department of Children and Family Services, only the appropriate items in Category Three must be presented. Please note that parents must also bring a certified copy of the child's birth certificate.

About Our Program

Our Preschool / Early Childhood Education program is a blended classroom for 3-5 year-old students with and without disabilities. Students are co-taught by certified early childhood teachers who also hold certification in special education. An integrated service approach is utilized with a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, social worker, certified school psychologist, and an English Language Learner teacher, all collaborating to meet students’ diverse learning needs. The program is available to any family in the D181 community and is held at Oak School (950 S. Oak Street, Hinsdale).

  • A.M. Session:
    8:45 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
  • P.M. Session:
    12:25 p.m. - 2:55 p.m.
  • Morning and afternoon classes run Monday - Friday following the District 181 school calendar. One Friday per month is a non-attendance day for Preschool / Early Childhood Education students to allow for staff professional development.
