Remote Learning Inclement Weather Day - Feb. 16

Due to the winter storm warning in effect, D181 school buildings will be closed and instruction will be held remotely on Tuesday, Feb. 16. Attendance will be taken and students are expected to attend all classes virtually unless they have submitted an absence on the District website, www.d181.org.

For Staff: All District 181 buildings will be closed. Specific information will be shared by email for those whose job duties have unique responsibilities that cannot be completed from home.

For Students: Below is information regarding student expectations for remote instruction. Links and additional information will be sent by your child's teacher.

Remote Instruction Information

Hybrid and Remote (Middle)

● Middle School students will sign-in for live instruction and special education services at regularly scheduled times for the day via links sent by teachers (attendance will be taken)

● Students will follow their normal A.M./P.M. schedule

● A, B, C, D day will remain consistent for an emergency school closing i.e., if the day was scheduled as C day instruction students will follow the C day schedule

● Asynchronous instruction/work will be assigned in Google Classroom

● Synchronous and asynchronous instruction will occur during an emergency school closing in a full digital format

Remote Students (Elementary)

● Students will sign in for live instruction and special education services at regularly scheduled times for the day (attendance will be taken)

● Students will follow their normal class schedule

● Synchronous and asynchronous instruction will occur during an emergency school closing in a full digital format

Hybrid Students (Elementary)

● Students will sign in for live instruction at regularly scheduled ELA and Math times via links sent by teachers (attendance will be taken)

● Students will follow their normal A.M./P.M. schedule

● Asynchronous instruction/work will be assigned in Seesaw or Google Classroom for science/social studies/specials/PE

● Synchronous and asynchronous instruction will occur during an emergency school closing in a full digital format
