Important Updates & Enrollment Survey Information

Dear D181 Families and Staff,

Thank you to all those who participated in our Aug. 3, 2020, Special Board meeting and your ongoing participation in the work we have ahead of us in the reopening of schools for the 2020-21 school year.

Important Updates: 2020-21 School Year

At last night's Board meeting, the Board recommended and approved the following:

  • Offer families both a hybrid and a full remote learning option for the 2020-21 school year. Please note that this means there will be no 5-day full, in-person option. Remote learning will be available to any family.
  • Delay the start of the school year by one week and utilize five remote learning planning days. This would put the first scheduled day of student attendance as Tuesday, Sept. 8.
  • Continue the school year based on current guidelines with 6-feet social distancing in all classrooms

Our administrative team will continue to work diligently on our framework and develop and share a hybrid model plan that is an appropriate fit for our District. As we develop these plans, we will continue to work closely with and incorporate the feedback of key stakeholders, union leadership, Board members, our D181 Transition Team. We will send you updated information as soon as it is available.

Please note that today's noon deadline for the parent enrollment survey is no longer required. We will be in touch with families regarding collecting enrollment information and other next steps.
