Seventh grade CHMS student Sophia DiPasquale was the Level 2 (Middle School) winner in the Illinois state competition Letters About Literature. Sophia wrote a letter to the authors of The Reasons I Jump connecting with her own family experiences in a powerful way. She was celebrated at a state ceremony on June 3 with the other two state winners where she earned a plaque, a cash prize, and a check for the CHMS library. She is currently enrolled in Jen McCredy's English Language Arts course this year. Congratulations on this amazing accomplishment, Sophia!
