An update for our parents, staff and community:
We continue to follow the guidance from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) as we develop our framework for reopening schools. At this point, our plan is to reopen for in-person instruction with an option for parallel remote instruction. While we hope to make progress against COVID-19, we know that this situation continues to be fluid, and modifications may be necessary as health officials learn more about this virus. We'll continue to send updated documents as we receive any new information or guidance.
Framework Guidance - Click Here
This document outlines the details of our safety efforts to-date as well as our in-person and parallel remote learning options. This framework will ensure that you have enough details to develop a preliminary perspective. We will be sending an FAQ document that will include this information and more with greater levels of detail no later than the end of July.
In addition to this information, our staff will continue to explore and share information on the following items, including but not limited to:
- Special Education
- Identifying Positive Cases and Quarantine Procedures
- HVAC in School Buildings
- And Other Safety Measures
Parents & Staff — Please Take Our Interest Survey
We designed a survey for the District to gather information so that we can plan for staffing, instruction, and implementing safety measures. Please note that your response to this survey does not serve as a final decision in regards to Remote or In-Person Learning. Your voice is vital, so please complete the survey by 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 22.
If you need a link to the survey, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We appreciate your patience and support as we navigate this challenging situation.
Hector Garcia, Ph.D.
