Dear D181 Community,

Our hearts go out to the families of the Uvalde School District and the entire Uvalde, TX community following the horrific tragedy that occurred yesterday. As a school community, we grieve with them during this incomprehensible loss.

Since we all experience grief differently, please know that we are here to help any struggling student or staff member. Our Principals, social workers, and staff members are closely monitoring the well-being of our students and will ensure extra support is provided if we notice them struggling. We strongly encourage you to reach out to the Principal if you would like some support speaking to your child about this tragedy. We have also listed a few resources below that may be helpful.

The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority and of paramount importance daily. Our team continuously looks for ways to enhance our safety and security measures. I'm grateful for the time and resources we have in improving our current protocols throughout the year.

Please keep the Uvalde families in your thoughts as they try to comprehend and cope with this terrible incident.
