Preschool / ECE Registration
We look forward to welcoming families for Preschool / ECE registration for the 2017-18 school year! Registration for new students is now open and is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space is limited in this program.
Participants must reside within District boundaries. Families with a child currently enrolled in a District 181 school do not need to provide proof of residency at the time of registration unless they are a non-homeowner (i.e. renting). New families must provide proof of residency at the time of registration; a list of acceptable documents can be found on the Student Residency Form listed below.
Parents should bring a certified copy of the child’s birth certificate, proof of residency, the completed registration form, and the registration fee ($100.00) to the Administration Center (8:30am-3pm). The birth certificate will be copied and returned.
For enrollment in 2017-18, children must be three years old by September 1, 2017, potty trained, and have a health exam completed prior to the start of the year.
The registration fee of $100.00 (non-refundable) is due at the time of registration.
$300.00 / Month due 1st of month (September – May). Please note that we offer a 10% discount if the tuition is paid in full by Sept. 15. The discount is $270, so the total comes to $2,430.00.
Reduced tuition is offered for families that qualify.
Residency Verification/Health Requirements
To show residency within the District, the person with whom the student lives in the District and who claims custody of the student must present documents as described below. If the person enrolling the student claims the student is homeless or attending school in the student’s former district upon the determination of the Department of Children and Family Services, only the appropriate items in Category Three must be presented. Please note that parents must also bring a certified copy of the child's birth certificate.
Our Preschool / Early Childhood Education program is a blended classroom for 3-5 year-old students with and without disabilities. Students are co-taught by certified early childhood teachers who also hold certification in special education. An integrated service approach is utilized with a speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, social worker, certified school psychologist, and an English Language Learner teacher, all collaborating to meet students’ diverse learning needs. The program is available to any family in the D181 community and is held at Oak School (950 S. Oak Street, Hinsdale).
