CHMS students, staff, and families have been leading a yearlong effort to honor and support military Veterans, and are inviting community members to participate in a golf outing as one of the project's culminating events. "Chipping in for Veterans" will be held Saturday, May 14 at The Village Links of Glen Ellyn, with a shotgun start at 2pm; a BBQ dinner will be served at 7pm.
On Saturday, April 23, more than 525 pieces of artwork created by local elementary and middle school students will be on display at Cheney Mansion (220 N. Euclid Avenue, Oak Park, IL). This free event is open from 10:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. This marks the second consecutive year that the West Suburban Consortium for Academic Excellence (WSCAE) school districts are hosting the event to showcase K-8 student artwork from their schools.
