May 3, 2017 • 9:30-11:30am • The Community House (Register)

The Community Speaker Series, presented jointly by D86 and D181, presents "Screenagers" with filmmaker Dr. Delaney Ruston.

"Screenagers" is a film that discusses how tech time impacts kids’ development and offers solutions on how adults can empower them to best navigate the digital world and find balance. After the screening, Dr. Ruston will discuss the film and welcome questions from the audience. In addition to a filmmaker, Dr. Ruston is a Stanford-trained physician and mother of two.

This is the third and final Community Speaker Series event planned for the 2016-17 school year. The goal of the Speaker Series is to inform and inspire families in the District 86 and D181 K-12 community about issues related to education, child development, wellness, and parenting. The feedback from parents who have attended these events in the past has been overwhelmingly positive, with many parents indicating that they have gained valuable insights from these programs.

The programs are free and open to all, but space is limited. We ask anyone interested in attending to please register in advance. Above are the links that lead directly to the registration pages, or you can register by going to www.d181foundation.org and clicking on the link on the homepage.
