ABOUT DISTRICT 181 - BOARD OF EDUCATION

A seven member board of education, elected to reflect the will of the community, is committed to providing the district's children with an exceptional educational opportunity.

The board recognizes its responsibility as the stewards of the taxpayers' money. Through its finance and facilities sub-committees all building plans, budgets and levy requests are thoroughly reviewed at public meetings.

Board members are elected to serve four-year terms at no remuneration. Board of Education meetings are held on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at Hinsdale Middle School. They begin at 7:30 p.m.
