he district offers a comprehensive K-8 curriculum covering the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social science, physical education, health, art, music, and foreign language. To support its vision of being a school district where all children experience success and exhibit excellence, the district offers a continuum of services to meet the needs of students with diverse education needs, including special education and gifted education. Each curricular area is aligned with the State of Illinois Learning Standards, which were adopted by the Illinois Legislature in 1997.
