Parent Liaisons

Role of the Parent Liaison

The new position of Parent Liaison is made possible this year by a Title 1 state grant designed specifically to support families and students with IEPs and 504s, or receiving RtI services.  The grant requires the liaisons to support these specific families.  Our hope, however, is that the position will grow into encompassing many ways to reach out to district families, students and staff to offer support.

The liaisons are listed below.

Lainey Hately
Lainey Hately comes to the position of Parent Liaison with a significant amount of personal experience within District 181. Her children attended Oak and Hinsdale Middle schools, and she has lived in the community for more than 15 years. Lainey is a mom of two high school children, as well as a certified K-9 teacher. Prior to entering education, much of her past work experience was in the area of communications and public relations at a major airline. She also gained multicultural exposure when she and her family lived overseas for five years in London, Paris and Dubai. Lainey looks forward to this opportunity to support you, your school and District 181 throughout this school year.

Jennifer Zock
Jennifer Zock brings both personal and professional experience to her role as a District 181 Parent Liaison.  A local parent and active member in the D181 Family Resource Network and former President of Hinsdale Community Preschool, Jennifer has volunteered many hours supporting parents and education in the area.  As a prior middle school teacher, her duties included being a grade level leader and serving on numerous special needs committees.  Her education includes a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and a master’s degree from DePaul University.
